overview of the maine seeds leadership meetings
Every Tuesday, from 5pm-6pm, the Maine Seeds Leadership team, compromised of former Campers and Peer Supports, meets at Yordprom Coffee House to discuss Maine Seeds follow-up programming and events. The purpose of these meetings is for the Maine Seeds to develop their leadership skills and take charge. We believe that Maine Seeds programs should be designed, planned, and implemented BY and FOR the Maine Seeds. Therefore, these meetings give Seeds an outlet to discuss the Maine Seeds programs they want to see in their school and home communities.
During the meetings, Seeds also discuss and plan events and programs, such as the Youth Summit, It Starts With ME, the Youth Charter, and Holiday of Holidays.
All of the minutes from the meetings will be posted below so that you can stay up-to-date with what our leadership team is planning and stay involved with the Maine Seeds follow-up programming post-Camp!

During tonight's meeting, we continued planning for the Seeds Alumni Reception and the Seeds Senior Banquet. We designated roles to different Seeds--Boni, Hattie, and Jess will be taking care of the music for the Senior Seeds Banquet and Morrigan will be MC-ing the Banquet and will introduce the two Alumni speakers, Seth Freed Wesller and Michael-Corey Hinton. Ideally, we'd like AJ to create a banner for the event.
We also discussed the Alumni Reception and designated that Jess will be responsible for MC-ing the event.
We finalized the dates and details for the Orientation for New Seeds. Melissa will be in charge of the orientations.
During the meeting, we also discussed the development of the website and are currently looking photographs of Maine Seeds School programming and extracurricular activities.

Tonight we discussed the Senior Banquet. AJ is working on certificates to be printed for all of the seniors. Boni and Mia are working on invitations to the Banquet and hope to have them out within the week.
We decided that Morrigan will be the speaker for the Banquet and Jess will be the hostess for the Alumni Reception the night before.
We also finalized our plans for the Maine Seeds College Night at Cony High School on Sunday, May 4th.
The PATHS/VoTech Students will be at Camp from June 11th-14th. Boni is in charge of finding 6 Maine Seeds who will be willing to facilitate the evening programming for the PATHS/VoTech students.
Camp Clean-Up is June 29th. We've developed a sign-up and posted it on FB to find out who's interested in participating.
Maine Day will be July 19th.

AJ is working on certificates for the Senior Banquet. She is working to put the Maine Seeds design created by Dexter Seeds on to the certificate.
AJ told the group about the Make A Wish Walk and we created a Maine Seeds Make A Wish team that hopes to raise money for a child battling cancer. They also hope to walk in the event.
Abi talked about the MECA Workshop that will be held April 12th. She has asked the Seeds to turn in the photographs they've been taking, along with the answers to the prompt, "I Am...I will...I Want to" by this Friday so that the photos and text can be printed at this weekend's printmaking workshop.
Jess and Morrigan are also looking for Seeds (and non-Seeds!) interested in participating in the I Am An Immigrant program.
