Peer Support Program
The Maine Peer Support Program (or PS Program) is a specially-designed, two-week leadership intensive that takes place at the Seeds of Peace International Camp. The Maine PS Program is for juniors or seniors in high school who have already attended the Seeds of Peace Camp as former Maine Seeds. The Peer Supports go to Camp at the same time as current seeds, engage in their own dialogues and leadership workshops, and are also there to support the current Maine Seeds during their Camp experience.
The PS program allows for former Maine Seeds to engage in dialogue while further developing leadership skills that they began working on when they were Seeds themselves. It also affords them the opportunity to put those skills into practice with current Maine Seeds attending Camp.
Once Peer Supports return home from Camp, they are expected to attend weekly Maine Seeds of Peace Leadership Meetings where they help design, and implement, year-round Seeds of Peace programs, such as the Youth Summit, Bridges to Peace, Holiday of Holidays, and much, much more.

At these meetings, the Seeds discuss, and develop, follow-up programming, such as Seed Ventures and It Starts With ME. They also work together to plan for the Youth Charter, the Youth Summit, and other major Maine Seeds events.
